Job search 2011…. FML

I thought this feeling of anxiety would end after college, but boy was I wrong. I have been searching for a full time position since before I actually graduated, but since June I have intensified my search and broadened my scope of potential occupations. I know the market for jobs is not really great right now, but come on!!! why can’t i find a freakin’ job!!! FML I know I am capable for the jobs I apply for, and even over qualified for others, but employers get a stack of resumes, so I’m sure they just breeze over mine. It’s sad that I get excited when potentials employer emailing me back saying I’m not the right fit, because I feel like they might have actually at least taken the time to look over my resume. ugh the best lead I have right now is a part-time waitressing gig at a local bar… whoa, so much for a college degree…

Week One

So, I just finished my first week of my retreat  … this wellness retreat, in the catskills. Its beautiful here and after going through a break up, so its really nice to have some time to myself and reflect. I hope I come back home with a new attitude to life and about myself. 

Being in a 3 year relationship, then jumping to a 1 year relationship was probably not one of my better decisions. I tend to throw myself out there and well i get a bit lost. It will be nice for a change to be a little selfish, to not have to compromise, as hard as that sounds for me. 

But things around me are changing. And change is exciting, even more so when you are ready for it!

yo, so its been a while since i’ve visited tumblr. I have a tendency to do this, sorry. Good news! I’m graduating college in 3 weeks, but i’m done my classes next week! holy fuck, depending on what job i manage to scrap up, I am hoping that this is the last all nighter i need to pull in order to get work done (it probably wont be, seeing as how I want to eventually work in the music industry)… but NO MORE STUPID, TIME CONSUMING, UNNECESSARY EXAMS!!!! i’m gonna miss “college-life”, but i know i will not miss college work/studying. I cannot wait to get my get this marketing degree and just celebrate this summer! I’m 21 and i’m gonna freakin’ enjoy it!

Some spontaneous traveling is definitely on the agenda! Who’s with me?!?!?

I think i’m handling this a lot better than expected….

the only real thing i’m upset about is how miserable these elephants look =( i seriously want to call PETA on the circus. 

I seriously have the worst ADD

i didnt take my meds this morning… and results = nothing productive. i’m sitting in my wine class (which is gonna be awesome for this semester) and i focused for about a good 15 min. and then i found myself tuning out my professor, staring outside the door window, tumblring, facebooking…. i really should be paying attention to what she is saying.. oh well.

side note.. im so excited for this week at my internship. disney on ice went well and is now over! this week i will work 76ers vs Wizards game, flyers vs Devils game and the wings vs blazers game… should be a fun packed week!!
